Flixc is a deformable controller that allows you to interact, animate and play with sound, visual in a new way. The aim of Flixc is to understand the possibilities of bending gestures interaction that we may have in the nearest future with the emergence of flexible displays. Deform the visual on your screen or apply some specific real time effect to the sound by bending, rolling or flexing areas of the device. This could be games, sound playing, vjing…This kind of interaction maintains a level of tangible feedback that can´t be maintained using touch interfaces in general. The controller is made with Polyvinyl chloride that has some specific optical properties. Three flex sensors are integrated between two PVC layers.
